This one came as I was remembering the “Satanic ritual abuse” hysteria of the 80s. Seems some hypnotists started playing with regression therapy and found these crazy memories in people. As the news hit, the phenomenon spread, and soon it seemed liked every hypnotist who did regression was finding these kinds of memories in people. It took a while before they realized that they were the ones accidentally create those memories – false memories!
Accidentally. They had accidentally created false memories. It’s easy that they did it by fucking accident.
Now these techniques are taught only so that we don’t do them, in order to avoid creating false memories. They are literally forbidden hypnotic techniques.
